There is street in Edmonton known as Candy Cane Lane. Every Christmas season the homes along 148 Street between 100 Avenue to 92 Avenue glows with lights and displays that are viewed by many Edmontonians as part of holiday traditions. This year marks the 51th anniversary of this tradition. 

YEG Candy Cane Lane officially opens December 12th and runs from sunset to midnight until January 1st. This event is also the second largest donation drive for the Edmonton Food Bank with an average of 25,000 kg of food donated each year. Donation bins are located along the route for visitors to easily add their contributions.
