Whyte Avenue Art Walk

This year the Art Walk moved inside to the former Army & Navy building in Old Strathcona and runs every Friday to Sunday from June 11-August 1. Discover and support local artists. Tickets are $5.00 for the day with free entry for children 12 years and under. There is free entry with a Food Bank donation on Fridays between 3-4pm. Tickets can be purchased online and there will be line for walk ups as well.

JUST ANNOUNCED* that the mortgage qualifying rate, more commonly known as the stress test, is confirmed to be INCREASING as of JUNE 1. The change, comes in on both conventional-uninsured mortgages (20%+ down with no mortgage default insurance) AND insured mortgages, where down payment is less than 20%. The new qualifying rate is 5.25% and could takes effect June 1, 2021. This equates to roughly a 5% decrease in purchasing power.
